What do we stand for?
We stand for the future of Druidry as a vibrant healthy tradition and spirituality, respected and given equal rights within our wider communities of culture and faith, able to conduct itself with dignity and without fear, and able to advance with confidence and pride.

In every collective human endeavour, whether scientific, medical, spiritual, agricultural, even sporting, people come to realise that as what they do becomes respected and interest grows, there will always be those unscrupulous few who would ruin the reputation of all. This eventually necessitates a coming together by those who care about the future to safeguard and advance the very best ideas and values of the group. Once a strong and representative group is established it is possible to achieve great things by working together, and it is possible to speak with more weight when it comes to representing our point of view to wider society. Information can be shared and contacts made, ideas flow more freely and the cause is advanced.
The British Druid Association is open to all Druids as members, and associate membership is available for all those who share our root traditions but may walk other paths and who form part of the wider Celtic Pagan family, sharing an interest in what we do.
The British Druid Association is to be run by its members via an elected circle of representatives and standing trustees. This means that no one person or group can dominate. In addition, membership is not of leaders of groups or groups, membership is for individuals and so overcomes the political problems that come when trying to work directly with groups.
The British Druid Association is not in competition with any Order or Grove, but rather exists to encourage best practice and respect between all Druids for the greater good of all.
How will we achieve this?
1. By providing a single membership body free of the politic of Order Grove or Coven where direction is determined by the members within the constitution.
2. By establishing a simple code of conduct, supported by guidelines that establish our members as respectable and trustworthy.
3. By providing the means by which interested groups and individuals can make contact and work together for common cause, and by pooling our resources being more effective
4. By being accessible to all Druids and representative of all Druids we can present the consensus of our opinion to secular authorities and other religious groups providing them with a single first point of contact with our community that is representative.
5. Where there is a national or international need to campaign or consult we can either engage directly as the ‘BDA’ or offer support to specialist groups in their existing efforts.
